Introduction to the Course
Fashion Designing (FD)Level 1’ has been developed for the beginners who wants to initiate their journey as a Fashion Designer. Its key purpose is to introduce youth with the fashion industry and facilitate them in building their basic ideas and skills to become a competent and creative Fashion Designer/
Course objective
The program will facilitate the students to:
  • Learn and use the core concepts of fashion designing including the types of colors, patterns etc. in creating a variety of products.
  • Learn basic steps of a dress designing including fabric selection, taking measurements, pattern making, cutting, sewing, adding accessories and finishing.
  • Acquire competency in developing the following types of dresses
    • Asian Dresses: Ladies Shalwar Qameez, Sari, Frock, Different types of Trousers.
    • Western Dresses: Bubble Blouse, Gather Frock, Maxi Dress, Bustier Dress
  • Generate ideas to initiate one’s own business using fashion designing skills.
  • Advance their skills for working effectively in teams and boost their confidence for public communication and presentations
